Join The Shutter Sisterhood for fun women's photography workshops, creative events, coffee catch-ups, day trips, weekends away and cup filling adventures. Based in Port Macquarie on the Mid North Coast of NSW, Australia, we're a welcoming community for women who love capturing life's moments—whether on a camera or a phone. From local catch-ups and photography walks to Australian and future international tours, The Hood is all about building confidence, exploring beautiful places, enjoying great food, making new friends, laughter and creating fun memories together. Many of our members come along on their own, but they aren't on their own for long! The Hood is an inclusive community where women connect, build genuine friendships and share unforgettable adventures together.

Hi, I'm Kris (Kristen Shaw), professional photographer, travel lover, organiser of questionable adventures and the founder of The Shutter Sisterhood. After nearly two decades behind the camera, I've learnt that while photography is what brings women together, friendship is what keeps us coming back. I love discovering beautiful places, eating delicious food & planning adventures.
